Art & Sustainable Living in the Canadian Northwest
Festival Features:
The Boreal Mixed Media Jam is an Interactive Arts Festival, now in its second
year. The Jam brings together artists, some local, some not, for innovative, collaborative
workshops over the September Long Weekend at Moosehead Hall, located 20 minutes east
of St. Walburg, Saskatchewan. Both beginner and expert artists are encouraged to
participate, as workshops are structured to accommodate all skill levels. Participants
explore various art forms such as performance, literary, visual, and musical. Workshops
for the first year varied from belly dancing to guitar techniques to papermaking.
